The Cool-er eReader is one of the newest players in the digital ebook reader market.

It is trying to compete with the Kindle from Amazon and the Sony eBook reader.  Cool-er has some things going for it, though. It is quite a bit lighter than the competition, weighing about the same as a typical cell phone. Also, it is quite a bit cheaper than the Kindle, too. Also, it has partnered with Google to have all of Google digital library of books available for the Cool-er.

If you're like me, you like to make informed decisions. With that in mind, I wanted to show you another video by David Pogue, who is a tech-geek-expert of sorts. He had some interesting and unbiased, as far as I can tell, observations about the Cool-er eReader.

Right now, the Cool-er eReader and the Amazon Kindle seem to be the two "best of class" ebook readers on the market. They both use what is called E-ink technology. This technology is not back-lit like an LCD screen. It's technology is reflective, so you would need a light to read it in the dark. This is not bad, though, because the technology makes the screen much better for reading, much like a book. Also, the technology has a much lower power usage, so battery life is extended. For example, the Cool-er eReader's battery will last 8000 page turns. That is a lot of book reading on one charge, at least at the rate that I read.

The Gateway MD2419u, another great laptop deal, just in time for the Holidays.

We couldn't find this exact model any longer on Gateway, so you'll have to find it through another channel.  Gateway has, probably replaced the MD2419u with a more expensive model.
